FASTING 101

WHY FAST?

Fasting is one of the most powerful tools you can use to naturally detoxify the body. For beginners , start with intermittent fasting and then gradually make your way into fasting on juices, fruits, vegetables, herbal tea and water for 3,5 or 7 days.

There are many ways to fast. We naturally fast when we are sleeping and as soon as you wake up and eat/drink you break-fast this is why it’s important to eat light when breaking the fast.

When you stop eating cooked food, solid foods , junk foods etc you give your body a chance to rid of excess waste and toxins you have built up. It’s important to fast from solid foods sometimes but it is equally important to make sure you consume healthy fiber from whole fruits and veggies shortly after a liquid fast as well.

HOW TO FAST

Although fasting on water or doing dry fast are good , there are complications that come with them if you are not advanced , guided or well informed about it. The safest, healthiest way to fast is fasting from cooked foods, solid foods and junk foods for 3-7 days at least once a month and then gradually intensifying your fasting. In my opinion if you are not experienced in fasting dont just do a dry fast or an all water fast for 30 days, its not safe if you dont know what you are doing.
